Built from a love of classic hits
The idea began in March 2020 with one internet radio station and a passion for the music we grew up with. The journey continued through WKRO, WBLE, Rewind Indy and WRND before becoming Throwbacks Radio WRND-DB.
Three states and several chapters later, the name has changed—but the music never has. Classic hits will always be our favorites because they are part of our lives, our memories and our generation.
Today, Throwbacks Radio serves Champaign-Urbana with a broad mix of familiar favorites, personality-driven shows, local news and weather, and a sound that refuses to fit inside one decade.
